As an important part of its role in helping member agencies better
serve children and families of South Carolina, the Association
advocates for strengthening public policy in prevention and
protection services, child welfare, children’s health, and
juvenile justice. The advocacy efforts not only target the South
Carolina legislature but also the Office of the Governor and State
agencies that play a key part in formulating public policy. To
help in accomplishing these goals, the Association has registered
lobbyists.
